Custodial Manager/Project Manager - ALC

WHY THIS ROLE STANDS OUT
As a Custodial Manager/Project Manager, you will be responsible for overall management of cleanliness, sanitation, orderliness, and general appearance of contract locations. This position is responsible and will be held accountable for behaving in accordance with divisional and organizational values and expectations.
WORK SCHEDULE & LOCATION
This position is full time Monday – Friday; shifts scheduled anywhere between 7:30am to 4:30pm with occasional weekends when required. The location of this position is the Aldephi Laboratory Center.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Oversee all cleaning functions per assigned buildings and shifts with daily
• follow-up.
• Completes and submits assigned paperwork.
• Schedule staff and work assignments.
• Responsible for adhering to supply budget.
• Responsible for inventory control and maintaining proper levels of supplies.
• Perform regular inspections of all areas where services are performed.
• Works closely with Quality Control Inspectors to ensure a safe and clean job site.
• Supervises Assistant Project Manager (if applicable), custodial supervisors and
• leadworkers.
• Attend management training sessions and monthly manager meetings at
• headquarters.
• Ensure that equipment and supplies are maintained in clean and working
• condition.
• Maintain good working relationship with the building’s COTR and provides
• excellent customer service to employees and clients.
• Work closely with Quality Control Inspectors to ensure a safe and clean job site.
• Provide training to staff.
• Ensure safety procedures are enforced at the job site.
• Attend scheduled division meetings.
• Appropriately handle employee issues on site as per Employee Handbook.
Requirements
WHAT YOU BRING
• High School Diploma or equivalent plus at least three years previous experience in the janitorial field. A minimum of seven years related specialized experience may be considered in lieu of the formal education requirements.
• Comprehensive understanding of building services contracting and knowledge of principles of sanitation.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety procedures and precautions pertaining to industrial cleaning.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Ability to supervise groups of skilled and unskilled disabled workers.
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with disabilities.
• Must pass required background checks and screenings.
• Must be able to do some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to be occasionally be exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise fumes, dust, etc.)
• Preferred qualifications are:
o Two years of supervisory experience.
o Working knowledge of NISH laws and requirements.
o Prior experience supervising and working with disabled employees.
COMPENSATION
This position pays $71,000 - $74,000/yr
