We are currently recruiting talent on behalf of our nonprofit network who have a position as a Custodian! This position is part of the AbilityOne Program. Candidates selected to be an AbilityOne participating employee must provide documentation verifying a qualifying significant disability, as required by U.S. AbilityOne Commission policies.

As a Custodian Team Member, you will ensure that our customers receive the highest level of service possible, playing a key role in ensuring that buildings and shared spaces are ready to be enjoyed by all.
WORK SCHEDULE & LOCATION
• SHIFT: Mon. – Fri. 9:00 pm – 5:30 am. LOCATION: Fort Drum Base
Requirements
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Use high and low speed maintenance equipment assigned.
• Trash removal.
• Sweep/mop/dust/vacuum as assigned.
• Wet mop.
• Perform restroom disinfectant and cleaning as assigned.
• Wash windows.
• Monitor use of equipment and report any malfunctions or problems to supervisor.
• Practice “Safety First”.
WHAT YOU BRING
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Prior experience in janitorial work preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Must be capable of working on feet for extended periods of time.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to read MSD sheets and various chemical labels and markings.
• Must be willing to learn proper use of cleaning agents and usage of various supplies.
• Must be willing to learn proper maintenance and safety features of both light and heavy custodial equipment.
• Must be able to work in the United States.
• Must be able to successfully pass all background clearances.
COMPENSATION
• This position pays $22.84 / hour.
