Sheet Metal Workers Apprenticeship Program
Assist with and learn the fabrication, installation, maintenance, and servicing of HVAC duct systems while completing on-the-job and classroom training to become a skilled Sheet Metal Journeyperson.
This is a four-year Registered Apprenticeship Program located in Jacksonville, Florida. Throughout the program, apprentices receive a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on training in sheet metal fabrication, industrial welding, HVAC systems, architectural metals, blueprint reading and specifications, and other skills related to the sheet metal industry.
The North Florida Sheet Metal Joint Apprenticeship & Training Committee (JATC) is officially announcing the application period for individuals interested in applying to the Sheet Metal Workers Apprenticeship Program.
Veterans enrolled in the Helmets to Hardhats (H2H) program are eligible for direct entry into the apprenticeship program.

Requirements
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and provide copies of the following documents:
- Social Security Card
- Birth Certificate
- Valid Driver’s License
- High School Diploma or GED
- High School Transcripts or GED Test Scores
- DD-214
VETERANS: Our apprenticeship is a VA-approved program. The program is 100% tuition-free, and eligible veterans may receive applicable VA education benefits directly from the VA while participating in the apprenticeship program.
