Supervisory Auditor (Performance)

Located at Department of Housing and Urban Development Office of Inspector General, AIG, Office of Audit & Evaluation. As a Supervisory Auditor (Performance), you will be responsible for performing audits, evaluations, civil fraud reviews, inspections, investigations, and for preventing and detecting fraud, waste and abuse within HUD and its programs and operations.


As a Supervisory Auditor (Performance), you will: Responsible for planning, conducting and supervising independent and objective audits of HUD's component entities, programs, operations, and grantees receiving HUD funds and other activities related to HUD. Oversee and support personnel engaged in the development of polices and program guidance and the delivery of expert technical advice and assistance to OIG audit management, as well as program liaison to assigned HUD agencies. Oversee and provide technical and administrative supervision to a staff of performance and/or financial auditors. Independently directs, plans, organizes, coordinates, and leads the program/field office in accomplishing the work within the framework of established priorities. Serve as the technical audit expert within the program/field office and is responsible for resolving complex technical audit questions and issues.


Requirements

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience for the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience managing audit teams or audit activities, ensuring compliance with Government Auditing Standards, resolving audit quality issues, implementing corrective actions, and preparing audit reports with findings and recommendations through resolution. Time-in-Grade:In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
