Sheet Metal Workers Local 265 Accepting Apprentice Applicetions DuPage, Kane, Kendall, McHenry, Grundy, Iroquois, Kankakee, Livingston, and Will Counties

Sheet Metal Workers' Local 265 offers award winning apprentice training programs that annually produce some of the top trainees in the country. The up-to-date classrooms and work training areas at our Carol Stream school are second to none.

Requirements


Qualifications for all new Apprentice Applicants are as follows:

1) Applicant must be a minimum of 17 years of age.

2) All applicants must submit the following information:

3) There will be a $25.00 fee payable by personal check, cashier check, money order, or certified check, made out to SMART Local 265 Education Fund. No cash or credit card accepted.

4) All Applicant candidates must take the Military ASVAB career exploration exam (given and administered in English on an assigned date). Your score will be used for placement on the Applicant list.

5) Applicants who are accepted into the program will be required to provide their own transportation, and must be insurable to drive a company vehicle in order to work.

6) All applicants must be available to work within the territorial jurisdiction of Local #265, which is; DuPage, Kane, Kendall, McHenry, Grundy, Iroquois, Kankakee, Livingston, and Will Counties.

7) At time of employment, candidates will be required to pass a physical exam and drug screen at a clinic to be designated by the Apprenticeship Program payed for by the Contractor.
