PROGRAM MANAGER

You will serve as a Program manager in the Systems Acquisitions Group, Program Management Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.


  • You will coordinate all of the functions and disciplines related to the acquisition of the assigned systems/equipment, involving overall planning, direction, execution, and control of all efforts related to procurement and support.
  • You will provide for effective life cycle management, which includes acquisition, development, testing, production, integration and sustainment support, and financial management for assigned programs.
  • You will analyze needs and synthesize requirements information to develop requirements for program initiatives and plans.
  • You will provide program management, technical management and risk management support to the designated program office.
  • You will coordinate appropriate interface segments of the program with other program managers and management officials and with higher authorities.

Requirements

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilize a wide range of technical and business systems, processes, and practices used to manage weapon systems acquisition; 2) Review, analyze, and implement higher level procurement policies; 3) Manage project/program requirements, objectives and metrics, and resolving conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources; 4) Identify opportunities to incorporate process improvements and best practices utilizing customer feedback, internal and external audits, self-assessment, and lessons learned activities; 5) Advise management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducting special studies, proposing options and alternatives, and representing a command.
