Pipefitting, and Plumbing Apprentice / Helpers

What is an Apprenticeship? Apprenticeship is a structured system of training designed to prepare individuals for occupation in skilled trades and crafts. It combines on-the-job training under the supervision of experienced journeyman workers with related classroom instruction. Apprentices who successfully complete the prescribed number of hours of training in a registered apprenticeship program are awarded certificates of completion.


UA Certified Apprenticeship Program

The Plumbers and Steamfitters JATC has a training program consisting of classroom instruction (Two nights per week, two semesters per year) and on the job training. Apprentices earn raises every six months through completion of courses and excelling in job performance. Upon successful completion of the five-year program, the apprentices become journeyman as Plumbers, Pipefitters, or HVAC Service Technicians. (All licenses and certifications are obtained prior to completion)



Requirements

18+ years old, Valid drivers license (LA / MS) , Social security card, Birth certificate, High school diploma with transcript or GED, certificate with test scores

Veterans depending on experience, etc can receive up to 1-years credit and direct entry into the apprenticeship program

New Orleans Pipe Trades is certified with the VA-State approving agency recognizing the GI Benefits

Applications accepted in person Monday through Thursday 8am-4pm, Friday 8am-12pm
