Laundry Services Supervisor

Production Manager, Laundry - Full-Time - Enjoy a rewarding and challenging position with a nonprofit organization that has been helping educate, train, and provide employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities since 1955. We are currently seeking applicants for a full-time Laundry Services Supervisor who manages the inventory, quality control, and direct exchange process for assigned laundry facilities and supervises personnel as assigned Requirement: Applicants must possess a valid REAL ID - compliant driver's license or identification card, or be able to obtain one before employment, as it is required for access to secure military installations.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following duties and responsibilities represent the essential functions of this job that an individual must be able to perform with or without a reasonable accommodation:

  • Creates and implements a system for effective management of resources, delivery of finished goods, inventory, quality control, and customer service
  • Responsible for inventory, quality control, and data entry
  • Comply with all safety procedures and requirements and attend training sessions accordingly
  • Other duties as assigned
  • No travel required

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE:

The following qualifications represent the training, education, certifications, licensures, and/or work experience required to perform the essential duties and responsibilities successfully:

  • Degree in management or related field, or any combination of equivalent education and experience
  • Proven experience in production services, with at least 5 years in a managerial role
  • Experience training and working with people with disabilities 
  • Knowledge of efficient production, effective quality control, and workplace safety practices
  • Capable of meeting standards set for the quality and timeliness of work, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 or related software

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

Physical demands: Performing the duties of this job requires near visual acuity, the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds, and gross manipulation. Additionally, the employee:

  • Must be free of tuberculosis in a communicable form.  
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with prolonged periods of standing
  • Must be able to complete tasks that require a full range of motion to include pushing/pulling, crouching, stooping, or reaching at/below shoulder level and overhead

Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be primarily in an industrial setting and may be exposed to dust/lint. Must be able to withstand extreme fluctuations of temperature and noise level. Work schedule includes some weekends and most holidays.
