Ironworkers Local 46 Springfield, IL are accepting Apprentice Applications
Iron Workers Local 46 is located at 2888 E. Cook Street Springfield, Illinois, and is an affiliate of the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental, and Reinforcing Iron Workers. Local 46 was chartered on December 28, 1908. We held our 100 year celebration on October 4, 2008. Our jurisdictional boundaries cover 20 counties in Central Illinois. We are a mixed Ironworker Union Hall. We perform structural steel erection and detailing, precast concrete erection, ornamental handrail and stairs, as well as curtain and window wall system installation, reinforcing placement for concrete in building and bridge construction, post-tensioning cable placement and stressing in building and bridge construction, heavy rigging and machinery moving, pre-engineered metal buildings, metal siding, insulation, and roof decking and sheeting.

Veterans should submit DD-214 this apprenticeship progarm is GI Bill Approved allow Veterans with the GI Bill to collect a BAH as an E-5 with dependents
* Applicants must be 18 years of age and must have the minimum of a high school education. At the time of the application, each applicant must present proof of age by showing a valid drivers license.
* No guarantee of employment is implied. Applicants that are accepted will be added to an existing eligibility pool only.
