FINANCIAL SYSTEMS SPECIALIST

For GS-11: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-09) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience at the GS-11 level is defined as: Demonstrate experience assisting in the analysis and testing of Defense Joint Military Systems (DJMS) and other financial management systems. Participate in system tests to verify accuracy and reliability, while helping to develop test plans and criteria under supervision. Analyze DJMS test results to identify and report system errors or deficiencies within a collaborative team setting. For GS-12: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience at the GS-12 level is defined as: Proven experience is required in testing complex financial systems, specifically the Defense Joint Military Pay System (DJMS), including the development of test plans and the analysis of results. A deep understanding of the DJMS to create test criteria, analyze the effects of system changes on military pay, and ensure modifications do not adversely impact other system components. This role requires strong experience in resolving highly technical DJMS problems, identifying system deficiencies, and providing expert guidance across all operational levels.
