Community Associate

The Purchasing Buyer supports neighborhood developments by procuring goods and services, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely and efficient purchasing operations.Key Responsibilities:- Assist in purchasing goods and services for all of NYCHA.- Manage vendor communications and follow up on purchase order status.- Advise and support operational, technical, and professional staff in managing purchases.- Collaborate across departments to identify and fulfill purchasing needs.- Provide timely and effective customer service to requestors and internal stakeholders.- Review and process requisitions in the Oracle queue, including expedited requests.- Monitor purchasing trends and liaise with Procurement staff to help identify and develop contract opportunities.- Troubleshoot purchasing issues and resolve discrepancies.- Perform other related duties as assigned and act in a supervisory capacity in the absence of the direct supervisor.Additional Information1.
