Requirements

The International Brotherhood of Boilermakers is offering an exciting opportunity for veterans to join our Boilermaker apprenticeship program. As a union apprentice, you will receive comprehensive training in welding, fabrication, field construction, and maintenance of industrial systems. This is a hands-on, paid training position that combines classroom education with real-world experience on job sites such as power plants, refineries, and manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities 

- Assist journeymen with welding, metal fabrication, and assembly of complex systems.

- Learn and apply safe work practices in accordance with union and industry standards.

- Participate in ongoing training to develop specialized skills in boilermaking, such as rigging, scaffolding, and industrial maintenance.

- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

- Use precision tools and equipment to install, repair, and maintain industrial boilers, pressure vessels, and piping systems.

- Continuously improve your craft through mentorship, hands-on experience, and union-led training programs.
