Job Summary and Qualifications

We are looking for a compassionate and ambitious activity therapist to provide clinical support to patients of all populations. · You will provide through direct care, observation, and communication with the patient collects and documents patient behavioral and physical clinical data and observations

· You will assist with treatments or procedures within documented level of competency.

· You will collaborate with other treatment team members in patient treatment planning.

· You will provide behavioral health care interventions utilizing the least restrictive interventions.

· You will provide for the safety of patients, visitors and staff. Completes routine and special safety checks

What qualifications you will need:

•BA/BS in art therapy, music therapy, occupational therapy or related field required

•Completion of supervised student internship or one year work experience.

•MA/MS in art therapy, music therapy or related field preferred

•BLS for Healthcare Providers through the AHA or CPR through the American Red Cross

•At least one of the following certifications from a nationally recognized therapy association (i.e., National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Specialists, State Certification with Consortium of Therapeutic Recreation/Activities, American Art Therapy Association, Certification Board for Music Therapists, National Music Therapy Registry, or American Occupational Therapy Association) is required upon hire:

•Activities Therapist

•Art Therapist

•Music Therapist

•Recreations Therapist

•Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist

•Occupational Therapist - AOTA

•Crisis Prevention Institute Certification is required within 30 days of hire date

At least 1 year experience in a related field required
