Sound and Communication apprenticeship, IBEW Local 58, Southeastern Chapter NECA

3 1/2-year Sound and Communications apprenticeship applications will be accepted June 16 - 20, 2025. Occupation covers data, security (burglar alarm/card access / Security cameras), fiber optics, and legacy systems.


Apprentices are given a full time job/training assignement, and attend school 1 day every two weeks. Work hours are normally 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. Installing cables, fiber optics, cameras, card access, fire alarm, computer systems, temperature controls, burglar alarms, data storage, server rooms and more. 



Requirements

High school graduate/GED, completed one year of high school algebra or higher, provide official transcripts, submit DD-214 (if veteran), Provide valid diverer's license, minimum of 18 years old, drug test/physical, and background check.
